Collaboration. Empowerment. Student Leadership. Are these things that you are developing in your students? This summer, I’ll be blogging my way through the book “Learn Like a Pirate” by Paul Solarz. My guess is if you are an avid blog follower and Pinterest lover like I am, you probably spend a good chunk of your summer working on making your classroom better, fine tuning, and perfecting what you do. This book is an excellent way to begin developing a classroom that is student-led!
So what’s with the Pirate theme? Pirate is an acronym for:
Peer Collaboration
Improvement
Responsibility
Active Learning
Twenty-First Century Skills
Empowerment
I would love for you to grab a copy of this exciting book and read along with me! I’ll be hosting a giveaway for you to win a one of a few FREE copies of this book to kick off the launch of this stimulating book study!
I am interested in joining you for your book study this summer! Is there a place to sign up or are you planning on just posting and having responses? This sounds fun!
